Coach Meghan
Born and raised in Banff Alberta, Meghan started skating when she was 3 years old. She was a competitive skater until she was 18 and then decided to become a coach in 1997. She then moved to Canmore with her family in 2004 and joined the Canmore Skating Club. She coached with the club for 23 years going from being the junior coach to head coach. She also joined Canmore Minor Hockey for 5 years as the Powerskating coach for all the hockey teams.
In 2020 Meghan decided to open her own business and now teaches lessons to people for recreation.
Since 1997, Meghan Jones has been teaching skaters of all ages, from as small as 2 years to mature students in their 50’s.
A seasoned coach with experience working in a small community, Meghan has been a leader in many recreational, powerskating and hockey camps, with the ability to instruct all disciplines. She shares a great passion for the sport and art of ice skating, and watching skaters develop as students, athletes and individuals.
